He started his teaching career at Manipal University as consultant neurosurgeon and Assistant Professor neurosurgery for one year. Next, he joined Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Sevagram, Wardha where he was ranked as one of the best neurosurgeon in Nagpur & surrounding (Vidarbha) region & single-handedly established and managed a Neurosurgery department for two years and did more than 500 brain and spine operations.
